Our Mission is to prepare members of economically disadvantaged communities for prosperous careers in the Maritime Industry through education and skills development.
Our Basic Seamanship training program teaches the skills and knowledge necessary to begin a Maritime career. Trainees blend classroom study with hands-on project work to gain experience and familiarization with work aboard a sea vessel.
We support trainees in obtaining all documentation required to gain eligibility for work as a Merchant Mariner, including recommendations for services to resolve any barriers to obtaining documents.
The Anchor Program graduates are qualified to pursue career opportunities working on various maritime vessels. They are advised on gaining union membership and provided with the resources necessary to pursue open positions from various job providers.
We have several funding sources to help qualified Individuals cover the cost of our training course. Please contact us today to learn more about funding options.
